this is a decent illustration of how internet affiliate marketing works
When it comes to internet affiliate marketing the average person does not have a clue on how it operates. When I tell people that I’m an internet marketing consultant, they may think I consult with companies about methods to better promote their businesses online. While this is true I’ve come to this point because I originally marketed my own products, books, and services on the internet.
However, before all of this I marketed products, services, eBooks that were not mine; I had no inventory, no customer service, and no overhead. It was and is the ideal method to make money because you can literally do it from anywhere in the country and world for this matter.
How does it work? A vendor or company has a product; you sign up as an affiliate for their program and they create a replicated website with tracking coding to allow you to get credit for each person you refer to their website. If a customer purchases the vendors product, the vendor will give you a commission for the sale. Usually the commission is 50% or greater and these can really add up for some excellent income.
